But for a long time, I found myself frustrated. The Feel of Handmade Craftsmanship
There is a massive difference between something made by a machine in a factory and something made by a person sitting at a workbench.
When I sit down to work on a Burgundy Leather Journal Cover, I’m looking at every inch of the hide. I’m ensuring that every stitch is perfect and that the tension is just right. Most of my items are hand-stitched using a traditional saddle stitch. Why? Because if one thread breaks on a machine-stitched item, the whole thing can unravel. A saddle stitch is incredibly strong; even if one stitch were to fail (which is rare!), the rest of the seam stays secure.
I also love adding functional details. For example, some of my designs, like the Mini Leather Journal Cover, include pockets for credit cards or cash. It’s about making your life easier while keeping your essentials in one place.
