1. Limited Lifetime Warranty

Our Promise: The Kilted Leatherworker LLC stands behind every piece we craft. We guarantee our products against defects in materials and craftsmanship for the lifetime of the original owner.

What is Covered:

  • Structural failure of stitching or hardware (buckles, snaps, rivets).
  • Material defects in the leather hide that compromise the product's integrity.

What is NOT Covered:

  • Normal wear and tear, including scuffs, scratches, or the natural patina/darkening of leather over time.
  • Damage from abuse, neglect, improper care, or exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Stretching of leather (a natural property of the material).
  • Unauthorized repairs or alterations.

How to Claim: Contact info@kiltedleatherworker.com with photos of the issue. If covered, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion. The customer is responsible for shipping to our workshop; we cover return shipping for warranty repairs.

2. Privacy Policy (TDPSA Compliant)

The Kilted Leatherworker LLC respects your privacy. This policy outlines our data practices in compliance with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA).

Data We Collect: We collect personal information you provide (name, email, shipping address) and technical data (IP address, cookies) to process orders and improve your experience.

How We Use Your Data: To fulfill orders, communicate updates, and (if opted-in) send marketing materials. We do NOT sell your personal data to third parties.

Your Rights (Texas Residents): You have the right to:

  1. Access and confirm the processing of your data.
  2. Correct inaccuracies.
  3. Delete your personal data.
  4. Opt-out of targeted advertising.

Exercising Your Rights: Submit requests to support@kiltedleatherworker.com. We will respond within 45 days.

3. Wholesale Terms & Conditions

Small Batch Focus: We specialize in artisanal, small-batch production. Every item is handmade to order in our Katy, TX workshop.

Pilot Program: New wholesale accounts begin with a 5-unit pilot order to ensure a good fit for both parties.

Pricing & Payment: Wholesale pricing is provided upon approval. All initial pilot orders must be prepaid (Net 0) before production begins.

Corporate & Personalized Bulk Orders

For corporate orders involving logos, branding, or custom engraving/personalization (“Custom Bulk Orders”), the following terms apply:

  • Artwork Requirements: Buyer is responsible for providing print-ready, high-resolution artwork (e.g., vector file formats such as .AI, .EPS, or .SVG, or other formats we approve in writing). Buyer is responsible for ensuring artwork accuracy (including spelling, placement, sizing, and color expectations where applicable).
  • Proof Approval Required: Production will not begin until Buyer approves a digital proof (mockup) or a physical proof (sample), as determined by The Kilted Leatherworker LLC. Buyer acknowledges that approval constitutes acceptance of layout, spelling, and design.
  • Deposit / Payment Schedule: Custom Bulk Orders require a 50% non-refundable deposit to begin production. The remaining balance is due prior to shipping.
  • No Refunds / No Returns: Custom-engraved and/or personalized bulk orders are strictly non-refundable and non-returnable, except for manufacturing defects reported within 7 days of delivery.
  • Intellectual Property Warranty & Indemnity: Buyer represents and warrants that it owns or has obtained all necessary rights, licenses, permissions, and authorizations to provide and use any logos, trademarks, artwork, names, or other materials (“Buyer Materials”) in connection with the order. Buyer agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The Kilted Leatherworker LLC (and its owners, members, employees, and contractors) from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to any allegation that the Buyer Materials infringe, misappropriate, or otherwise violate any intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of any third party.

FOB Shipping Point: All orders ship FOB Katy, TX. Title and risk of loss transfer to the Buyer once the goods are delivered to the carrier. The Buyer is responsible for shipping costs and insurance.

Lead Times: Typical lead times are 2–4 weeks, depending on batch size and current workshop volume.

Bulk Orders

  • A “Bulk Order” is defined as any order of 10 or more units of the same item or a mix of items.
  • All Bulk Orders require a minimum of 30 days from order confirmation to shipment. This lead time ensures each piece is handcrafted to our quality standards and allows adequate time for material sourcing, production staging, and any custom work (including laser engraving).
  • Bulk Orders placed with a requested ship date sooner than 30 days from order confirmation may be declined or subject to a rush fee at our discretion.

Returns: Wholesale sales are final. We only accept returns for items with manufacturing defects reported within 7 days of delivery.
